I repair plastic windows.
Wrong ways::
1. Replacing the seal on a new window from a developer or on a window that is 5-7 years old is an INCORRECT repair, it is not a repair at all. Installing a non-standard seal leads to increased loads on the fittings.
2. Adjustment of winter-summer modes. There are no such modes; these actions shorten the service life of the fittings and seal.
3. Replacing fittings only because they work poorly or are of average quality.
Correct ways:
1. Arrangement of strikers of locking elements, adjustment of pressure, installation of stops against sagging.
2. Correction of the geometry of the valves, stretching, wedging of vertical profiles.
3. Lubricating fittings. If necessary, then with complete removal of the fittings, cleaning and lubricating them. If all the elements of the harness are in working order, then there is no need to change it, it needs to be brought to a new state. Hardware of ANY quality works great when it is clean and oiled.
4. Assessment of air flow organization. Recommendations for inflow options. Window air supply valves are far from the only solution, but if you are not ready for other solutions, then they are needed.
5. Replacing the seal is the very last thing that needs to be done, if at all, and only if the windows are under 8-10 years old.
When do you need the right advice and the right window repairs? Not when it has already broken and is already blowing, but so that it does NOT break. Prevention is cheaper than repair
If you have a new apartment in a new building, then I recommend an inspection
If you have an apartment with windows with history, you can seek advice
Even if you have new windows in your apartment or house and they were installed by a cool company, then it’s better to inspect them. Because it's free
I also do opening and reinstalling windows.
Installation of window supply valves.
Installation of child locks.
